In Memoriam: Joseph Doyle

I wanted to let you know about this notice which will be in the Playbills for Saturday night's performance.

In Memoriam

The cast and crew of Les Miserablés dedicate tonight’s performance to a friend whom we recently lost, unexpectedly.

Joey Doyle, 54, was father to two of our shining stars in the HFAC Actors Academy, and was a patron of our mainstage with his wife, Ginger. As part of our theatre family, Joey and his family have donated countless hours, as well as talent, to Houston Family Arts Center. Joey was a constant loving hand and ear for our theatre, as well as a beacon of support and ideas.

A talented artist and exponential source of ingenuity, Doyle was the Aldine ISD program director of Visual Arts and Elementary Creative Drama. No doubt, his infectious love of the arts will be emulated by his students and colleagues for years to come.

Houston Family Arts Center, and all those whose lives he touched, will sorely miss Joey’s kind spirit and contagious smile.
