May 10th rehearsal notes

First of all, Happy Mother's Day!

Not many notes from our music rehearsal on Saturday:
"Look Down"

• Anytime you have a pitched consonant, make it the same volume as the rest.
• Think of the 'K' (LooK) as it's own 1/2 beat--pronounce it
• Your solos should be as big and broad as you can make them--they need to have the same energy and intensity as the 'uh huh'
• Everyone check your lyrics.

"At the End of the Day"

• When singing the words, "At the end of the day," overemphasize the first 3-4 syllables.
• The 'attack' is good--ensure you're watching your pitch
• "At" is the most important word/syllable in the entire song
• When the ladies come in at 'K', you need to really bring it. Put some oomph behind it.

"Lovely Ladies"

• Pronounce your k's
• Brighten up the 'harbor rats/alley cats' and 'their' in the 2nd-4th measure of G.
